Subcontracted to the Commonwaelth of Massachusetts.

Converted several applications from Visual Basic 6.0 to Visual Basic.Net 2010. Maintained and enhanced these applications. These applications accepted feeds from hospitals in Massachusetts with data concerning in-patient, emergency and outpatient visits, validated the data, reformatted it and wrote it to SQL Server databases.

Bertucci’s Northboro MA 2005

Designed and developed a Windows application that processed customer comments from the Client’s web site. Tracked and linked comments to customers and automated email messaging. This application was developed with VB.NET and SQL Server.

Craftsman Data Systems Bedford MA 2005

This client was in the process of converting a Dry Cleaning application from Progress to Visual Basic .NET (Windows-based). Acted as a consultant on .NET and Visual Basic best practices. This included restructuring the projects, developing custom controls and reducing the number of lines of code. The database is MySQL.

Superior Sealcoat Andover MA 2004 to 2005

Designed, created and implemented a system that allows the client to maintain its customers and proposals. The system allows the client to print proposals and labels and sort and select by various fields. This was a Windows-based project written in Visual Basic .Net with an MS Access database. The second phase was adding faxing capability to this application. The application allows the user to fax proposals automatically, generating a cover page and faxing a document on a schedule to multiple recipients.

Computer World Wellesley MA 2004 to 2005

Developed a Web-based intranet contact management system. The product was written in ASP.NET with Visual Basic code. The database was MS SQL Server. Also used the Infragistics grid.

Beacon Hill Roll Call Brookline MA 2004 to 2003

Modified an existing MS Access 2000 database to create Word documents and email them using automation. Fixed reports that were failing to complete.

Uniforms for America Watertown MA 2003 to 2002

Created an online store for a retail store using a product call Storefront 6.0. This product generates ASP.NET code and a SQL Server 2000 database. Also wrote custom code using ASP.NET (VB) and SQL Server 2000.

JVon Leominster MA 2002

Made major enhancements to an existing Access 2000 database for a plastics manufacturing company including reports.

Take A Swing At Cancer Waltham MA 2002 to 2003

Designed and developed an Internet subsystem to keep track of meetings for a non-profit group. Used ASP.NET, VB.NET and MS SQL Server 2000.

Monster.Com Maynard MA 2000 to 2001

Part of a team that converted a source control system from Source Safe to Perforce. Duties included training and support of about 150 users in the use of Perforce. Developed tools to automate the process of administering and using Perforce. Tools were developed using Perl, VB and ASP.

Mac/Gray Cambridge MA 2000

Created interfaces, wrote reports and made other improvements to an application that tracks commissions for a company that installs and maintains vending machines at various sites. This application uses MS SQL Server 7.0, Visual Basic 6.0 and Crystal Reports. The application relies heavily on complex SQL Stored Procedures.

Amergent Peabody MA 1999 to 2000

Designed, wrote and installed a new application developed from an existing application. The product allowed the end user, a major non-profit group, to keep track of pledges and payments for their fund raising campaigns. The new functions allowed the users to copy batches from a network database to a local database. The network database that ran on a VAX under RMS is accessed with ODBC through Easysoft for RMS. Developed using Visual Basic 6.0 and MS Access 97.

National Data Computer Billerica MA 1998 to 2001

Redesigned, rewrote and enhanced an existing application. This application was developed for a client that manufactures hand-held computers for the food and beverage distribution industry. This application was primarily used to create ASCII files that were used to program the hand-held computers. This application was written in Visual Basic including the use of a custom Active-X control. The database is MS Access 95 and 97. Active Reports was used for reporting.
